GoDrive:
accessible to all
DeliverGo Drive
If you’re interested in delivering GoDrive, here’s where to start. As soon as you register you will be directed to the GoDrive delivery page which holds all the resources for delivering the GoDrive session – please save it to your favourites for easy access when you need it.
We will store and use the data you provide for the purpose of providing you with the materials and support needed to deliver GoDrive. This may include sharing your data with stakeholders who can offer local or specialist support. Your data will not be shared with any third parties outside of the GoDrive partnership. Please contact us if you decide not to use GoDrive and would like your data to be removed.
Optional Extras
While the GoDrive film itself can be used at no cost, additional features that formed part of the evaluation can be purchased separately.
Bespoke landing page.
We recommend that each organisation delivering GoDrive has its own landing page on this website, where educational settings can find out more information about the resource, download the most current assets, and submit details. This allows direct contact between delivery organisations and the schools, colleges, and other educational settings that deliver the goods. It ensures a consistent standard of delivery and reduces version control issues.
Email cascade for students.
To prolong the forgetting curve around these important messages, we have setup a data capture and email cascade system that utilises a QR code at the beginning of each session to record GDPR compliant student contact information. We then cascade monthly emails based on the GoDrive topics across 12 months. The evaluation showed an impressive open rate of over 50% and very low unsubscribes, proving this to be an effective long-tail engagement tool.
Evaluated for impact.
The GoDrive intervention, which aims to improve road safety knowledge, attitudes, and intentions among students, was evaluated using a controlled pre-post study with intervention and control groups. The GoDrive intervention, which combines a 50-minute film and four facilitated activities, received positive feedback from students and showed statistically significant benefits in several areas.
Notably, it improved student intentions for driving practice, attitudes towards driving while fatigued, and the likelihood of passengers speaking out. It also enhanced intentions for hazard perception practice and improved risk perceptions related to driving with multiple peer-aged passengers. It was encouraging to see that the safety benefits delivered were in the areas needing the most improvement.
